Apostille

Most recent countries to accede to the convention that no longer requires Consulate or Embassy legalization are Kosovo (entry into force 14 July 2016), Brazil and Morocco (entry into force 14 Aug 2016) and Chile (entry into force 30 Aug 2016).

Starting 14, 2016, all documents destined for Morocco and Brazil no longer require Consulate or Embassy legalization. These documents only require an apostille certification.

Starting August 30, 2016, all documents destined for Chile only require an apostille from the Secretary of State’s office or the US Department of State

Chile will no longer requires Consulate or Embassy legalization.
